Self-Reiki Mediation

Life can be remarkably busy at times and we forget to give ourselves time alone to relax, let go of our over thinking and become present. A simple 15min self-reiki meditation is more than enough on those days you need to take a break from the world.

This 15min reiki meditation is focusing on 4 chakras. The root, the heart, the third eye and crown.

If you do not have a background in reiki or chakra energy-balancing, its completely fine to practice this. It still enables energy to flow through you, tapping into your body’s innate ability to heal itself.

Start off this mediation by settling into a comfortable position – either laying down or sitting on a chair. Once you are comfortable, place your hands in prayer position at your heart chakra.

Taking in 3 deep breaths.

The first breath – Breath in through your nose and hold all that tension from your body, then as you

exhale let all that tension out.

The second breath – Breath deep into the belly, this time when releasing, let go of any doubts, fears, any issues that you are facing at the moment.

The third breath – Last deep breath into the belly, begin to really be present. Feel your body of any sensations.

Slowly release, hear your breath releasing and feel your body relax.

Then return to breathing at your own pace.

While your hands are still in prayer position, begin to picture white light expanding around your aura, than say out loud “I am 100% ready and able to give myself love and self-healing during this reiki meditation”.

Starting with the root chakra, place your hands on either side of your hips. Focus on the palms of your hands touching your hips. Feel on the energy flowing down your legs, to your feet and into the ground. Simply say out loud “I am grounded”. Remain present in this position for 2mins.

Next will be the heart chakra. Place your left hand onto your chest followed by the right hand. Again, focus on the palm touching your chest. Feel the energy flowing around your chest. Say out loud “I direct love towards myself”. Remain present in this position for 2mins.

Now is the third eye chakra. Place your hands over your forehead and eyes. Feeling the energy from palms, say out loud “I trust my intuition”. Remain present in this position for 2mins.

Lastly, is the crown chakra. Placing hand over the top of your head, picture white light pouring into the crown through your body and down to your feet. Say out loud “I move into alliance with my higher self”. Remain present in this position for 2mins.

Complete this self-reiki mediation by bringing your hands back in prayer. Take in a few breaths at your own pace. Say out loud “Thank you for this beautiful healing”.

Note: I suggest having a few sips of water after you have finished this self-reiki meditation and take your time in getting up. Also, try to find a 15min meditation song to play. Spotify have many to pick from.
